HIPMIS 2026
The 16th International Conference on High Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering (HIPIMS) 2026 will take place in June, 15-18, 2026, in Sheffield, UK, co-organised by Fraunhofer IST with the National HIPIMS Technology Centre UK, contributing to plasma-based surface technology, industrial coating processes, and application-oriented research content of the conference.
This international conference gathers experts in science and industry from around the world to discuss the developments in high-power impulse magnetron sputtering, plasma coating, plasma surface treatment technologies, and non-plasma advanced surface engineering.
The program comprises lectures on different aspects of sputtering techniques, such as reactive sputtering and HIPIMS applications, poster program, technical courses, as well as industry exhibition, and expert panel discussion.
The HIPIMS 2026 aims to promote High Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering (HIPIMS) method as a novel technology for surface modification and film deposition, as well as establishing a scientific forum to discuss the basics of plasma science, thin film growth, and new applications of HIPIMS.
