International Symposium on Reactive Sputter Deposition (RSD 2024)
The annual International Symposium on Reactive Sputter Deposition (RSD), established in Ghent in 2000, will take place on December 12-13, 2024, at its birth town, Ghent, Belgium. It will provide a platform for leading international scientists, engineers, and students to discuss recent achievements in reactive sputter deposition and thin films.
The symposium covers the production and applications of the coatings, focusing on the reactive magnetron sputter deposition technique.
There will be an exhibition during RSD2024 to make connection between the attendees and experts in the sputtering technology, where Vac Coat distributor in Germany, AMT Technischer Vertrieb is present.
A short course will be held to understand the fundamental processes in reactive magnetron sputtering. It will include an introduction to the physics of sputtering, the transport of sputtered atoms, magnetron sputtering features, deposition parameters, arcing, plasma discharge, and thin film growth parameters.
