Reactive Sputter Deposition Conference 2025 (RSD 2025)
The International Symposium on Reactive Sputter Deposition (RSD 2025) is one of the most important professional events in the field of physical vapour deposition, thin film growth, and in particular reactive sputtering technology. The conference will be held on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 December, 2025, at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK.
Also, a specialized training workshop has been designed for researchers, students and engineers, aiming to create a deeper understanding of the physical principles, laboratory methods and practical challenges of reactive sputtering deposition such as process control, plasma stability, sputtering target behaviour, and hysteresis zones in reactive sputtering, among other challenging issues.
Academic researchers, industrial experts, equipment manufacturers and practical users of coating systems will discuss practical results in the production of hard coatings, nanostructures, optoelectronic layers and other functional coatings that are directly related to industrial needs at the RSD 2025 conference. The conference will cover the following topics:
- Physics and modeling of reactive discharge plasma
- Design and engineering of sputtering targets
- Growth and structure of thin films
- Optical and electronic coatings and functional applications of thin films
- Industrial challenges of coatings in mass production
- Advanced in in-situ monitoring methods
- Presenting new solutions for increasing the stability and efficiency of the reactive sputtering process
Representatives from industries related to coating equipment such as sputter coaters, vacuum pumps, plasma sources, control and measurement systems, and manufacturers of targets will also participate in the event.
