Vac Coat Company, the pioneering designer and manufacturer of vacuum coating systems used in SEM coating and research applications, has upgraded two of its popular sputter coaters, DSR1 and DST1, with a large 4-inch sample holder stage.
These two favorite SEM coater models, previously supplied with a 2-inch sample holder stage, now are provided with an optional large 4-inch stage to make large sample deposition possible.
DSR1 low-vacuum sputter coater is an ideal coating system for noble, non-oxidizing metal (like gold and platinum) deposition, as for SEM sample preparation; whereas DST1 high-vacuum sputter coater working at high-vacuum condition is the proper choice for FESEM sample preparation, where a fine-grain-size oxidizing metal coating (like tungsten, chromium, etc.) is required.
Most of our customers demand coating larger samples, which is now accessible by using a large 4-inch sample holder. This rotating sample holder stage with adjustable tilt and height supports uniform layer deposition, alongside enabling coating porous structures and glad sputtering.
