Unlike many conventional thickness measurement systems that rely on mechanical stylus contact, expensive interferometric optics, or time-consuming scanning procedures, the DiffractoStep-RV1 performs fully non-contact measurements within seconds with 2 nm measurement resolution, less than 2% variation in repeatability, and excellent measurement speed in a compact benchtop instrument.
