The E-MRS 2026 Fall Meeting & Exhibit, organized by the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS), will be held on 14–17 September 2026 at the Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland. The meeting provides an international forum for researchers, engineers and industry professionals to present recent advances in materials science through invited talks, oral and poster presentations, a plenary session and a dedicated industrial exhibition.
The scientific program comprises 25 symposia grouped into six major clusters:
- Materials for Electronics
- Optoelectronics and Sensing
- Functional Materials; Bioinspired and Biomaterials
- Nano and Smart Materials
- Modelling and Characterization
- Energy and Environmental Applications
The accompanying exhibition, held 14–16 September, brings equipment, instrumentation, materials, software and related services close to the technical sessions, with exhibitors including electron microscopy suppliers, including Carl Zeiss, SENTECH Instruments, NEXTRON, Quantum Design and PI-KEM/MTI.
Topics like “Synthesis and characterization of functional nanocomposite materials”, “Metal oxide nanomaterials for advanced optoelectronics and environmental applications”, and “Bio-based high-performance textile coatings” representtheimportance of using proper thin-film deposition techniques to create coatings with specific features, requiring nanoscale characterization.
The functional nanocomposite symposium also covers functional nanocomposite films, nanocomposite coatings, graphene and 2D materials, metal/metal-oxide nanoparticles, magnetic and electrical properties, anticorrosion coatings, tribology and energy applications, together with synthesis and characterization strategies.
