Desk carbon and thermal evaporator with planetary sample stage

Desk carbon and thermal evaporator is capable of coating up to 6-inch samples on large sample rotation stage. This coating device can also be equipped with a planetary rotation sample stage.

Triple Target Sputter Coater (DST3-A)

The DST3 is a Triple Target Sputter Coater equipped with a large chamber and three 2” diameter water-cooled cathodes. The magnetron coater is equipped with RF and DC power supplies and can sputter semiconductors, dielectrics, and metal targets (Deposition Table). Moreover, DST3 can do Co-sputtering, GLAD Sputtering, and Plasma Cleaning. The Confocal Sputter Coater is equipped with an auto adjustable matching box, minimizing the reflected power in the RF Sputtering and suitable for long time deposition.

Glow Discharge Plasma Cleaning

Plasma Cleaning is a process that applies low-pressure ionized gases to the surface in a vacuum chamber before any surface process and it makes clear the surfaces from nano or micro-scale contaminants. In addition, the Plasma Cleaning Process cleans the surface and improves its adhesion using oxygen or air, as ionized gases. More than cleaning, this plasma makes the surface activate, which leads to better adhesion and bonding. You could find the plasma cleaning option in all Vac Coat Products such as DSR1DST1, Sputter & Carbon Coater – DSCR, and DSCT.

Upgrading Sample Planetary Rotation System

The degree of uniformity of the deposited layer is an important property of a suitable thin film. Therefore, rotation of the substrate during deposition process is an effective way to increase the uniformity of thin film deposited in the PVD method. The effectiveness of sample rotation depends on the geometry of the substrate and how it rotates during the coating process. Most models of the vacuum deposition systems manufactured by Vac Coat Ltd. such as Desk Sputter Coater DSR1, DCR, DST1-170, and DCT, are equipped with a planetary rotation option.
